This one was too good to just quote. This puppy deserves a place of honor because it's funny on so many levels. Yes, STEVE. Let's do get some guest expert professionals on the board. Like who, Ken Scott?

Peter Mew, Jon Astley, Barry Diament... The better question would probably be, "Name some audio industry pros who actually stuck it out in SHiTEland." You can count 'em on one hand, probably, if that...

He would never. They're what he referred to as the "socks and sandals brigade".

He seems well-adjusted in the face of OMG YOU MET JARVIS queries from the OP, but it's only a matter of time before he gets pounced upon.

What's funny is, given the deplorable political leanings of a lot of the SHiTEs, they're actually the furthest from the "socks and sandals" type you could find- I bet a lot of SHiTEs are more the Army surplus boot types than Birkenstocks....

I think , when referring to "socks and sandals" is that it's a horrendous fashion faux pas usually reserved for the socially inept. And by sandals he probably means dollar store flip flops, not Birkenstocks.

I have taken the liberty of summoning Rob LoVerde and Shawn Britton to this thread. How does the MFSL "The Yes Album" CD compare to the Hi-Rez release?
Steve Hoffman said: ↑ Rob LoVerde wrote about his mastering experiences with the YES album on Facebook. As soon as we get his permission to do so we will reproduce it here. lukpac said: He would post it himself here but he is banned. The Gorts have already been contacted as Rob wants it posted. GroovinGarrett said: ↑ The last I heard of him here, he was discussing the MFSL Roy Orbison. STeVE said: Ah, I remember. Well, Rob has my personal email address. He's free to contact me at any time (or a moderator) to get back on the Forum and post whatever he wants.

Wasn’t some guy involved with the Seeds reissues there too?

You misspelled "nutter".

How does Lukpac keep the Gorts at bay? He doesn't seem too interested in anything Hoffman has to say, and he occasionally proves Hoffman (and other "beloved" poaters) to be full of crap. I find it amusing. It's like they're afraid of him.

I find it amusing. It's like they're afraid of him. I dunno if he's still here, but didn't he basically provide the original home for SC? I've said it before, but for me he's one of the few people whose opinion can reliably traverse the gap between fan knowledge and expert.
