Hoofy discusses his work on a Raiders of the Lost Ark soundtrack, all the reels sent from Abbey Road and working with a “sound expert.”
JamesD1957:
STeVE Guffman:
Oooh, but we can’t go without actually name dropping now, can we STeVE?
JamesD1957:
Hoofy:
I’m sure you worked real close with Lucas, or do you call him Georgie or Mr. G for short? I am sure he was so thrilled to see you, does Mr. G hang his sunglasses from his shirt, too? Hate to break it to guy, STeVE o’buddy o’pal, but Lucas - if he was there - was only making sure you didn’t steal anything.

Why would George Lucas personally give a fuck about the mastering of the Raiders soundtrack? Another Hoffman tale that belongs in the "fiction" section methinks.

"The Lucas Guy" is vague enough to imply George Lucas when it just as easily could mean an employee of Lucas Films. Not that that flunky would personally give a shit about what was chosen for bonus material.
The real detail to focus on is the soundtrack exprt who helped him. Even when Daddy is blowing smoke up his own butt he can't help but point out someone else actually did the work.

"no, his brother, John Lucas. Even better director. And then, who walks in, but Garland."
"Judy?"
"No, her sister, Jenny Garland. Even more beautiful. And then, Goulet started singing."
"Robert?"
"yeah."

Compared to the time he co-wrote the screenplay of I Wanna Hold Your Hand, that's a pretty trifling Steve anecdote.

I think Hoofy meant DJ Lucas. The Raiders soundtrack needed a bit of backbeat.
