It would be funny if one of these guys had a partner into overpriced new age 'spirituality' pursuits, like gong bathing and breathing weekends for a double whammy of ridiculousness.

Uh oh. I fear at least one SHite is going to die attempting to re-wire his trailer's plug sockets.

If I invest in an Audioquest nrg edison duplex wall outlet, does that mean I can keep my ottoman?

If I invest in an Audioquest nrg edison duplex wall outlet, does that mean I can keep my ottoman? You're still gonna need a Bonzai Transmorgifier though. The sonics are gonna be creaming in your ears.

Until you run an extension from your listening room directly to the power plant's main board, you will never be able to hear the mids correctly on your Lawrence Welk essay ceedees. Weather proof audiophile extension cords with proprietary 24kt Gold Stream(TM) technology starting in the lower $800,000s. Ask your set up guy today.

Can you imagine how great it would be if you could find one if these "sonics"-tards who actually DID have a partner...but one who was more than willing to totally ruin him in the audiophool sense.
What you do is you get in there, and you change out EVERYTHING that he's "upgraded" - every cable, every fucking outlet cover, whatever - then you show up like a modern day Allen Funt. Tell him you're there to film part of a documentary on audiophiles. Get him to walk you through all of it. Film a solid couple of hours of him playing stuff, "demonstrating" how amazing it all sounds in an "these go to 11" sense.
Then tell the fucker that actually, your wife let us in here and all of this stuff you "upgraded", we switched all of it back out. We've been listening to your "system" through the cheapest bunch of "interconnects" and cables that you can find. The only non-funny part would be there'd probably be at least a 50/50 chance that the guy might snap immediately, haul out a rifle from the closet, and take care of the entire crew - and the wife, obviously - there and then.
But still...I think you could probably get some kind of GoFundMe or Kickstarter going for it. Just maybe make sure to make enough extra space in the budget for some bullet-proof vests in there.

He's gonna get told. (Haven't read very far in that thread but it does seem like we're entering the Heart of Darkness (Hooferville division): Dirty Electricity!!! (It's a thing over there, I tells yuh!)
