Wilson is so spotty. For every 1 decent song in his catalog, there are 5 that sound like Jethro Tull fucking one of those disposable dirt rock bands like Shinedown or Disturbed. His Bass Communion project has released some really good dark ambient if you're into that sort of thing.

Well, this is certainly worthy of SHite worship. A few things worth noting: 1) I didn't make it past the four minute mark. Who possibly could? 2) I honestly initially thought this must be one of those jokey "shred" videos; that is how ludicrously stupid the music is. 3) Weirdly, he does have a Steve Hoffman vibe to him. 4) It sucks. So which one's Pink?

Probably should be in the 'Unleash Your Inner SHite' thread but I'm an unashamed Porcupine Tree/Steven Wilson fanboy. Limited Edition box sets, multiple tour dates wanker.
If nothing else, you get a better return on your investment selling the stuff to even bigger fanboys than you'd get investing the same money in a bank.

I wouldn't call myself a fanboy per se, but I do enjoy a lot of SW and Porcupine Tree's music. I think it's funny that all the proggers were crying sellout because To the Bone had some pop songs on it. Coincidentally, I just picked up the RAH blu ray last night (along with Marillion's Clutching at Straws box not remixed by SW) and I assume the footage linked here is from that same concert. Similarly, I like many but not all of SW's 5.1 remixes. I thought the Tears for Fears disc was really good.
But before someone calls a Gort for not staying on topic, no, I don't think SW should remix Roy Clark.

What in the actual fuck is this?
Anyone who unironically incorporates a flute in their so-called prog band gets the hose. Fuck.

I don't understand the point of dirgey drivel like this in the 21st century. Crimson already did it just as badly 50 years ago.

KC should release an album called 'Dirgey Drivel', with a Steve Wilson 5.1 mix of course.
