say whatever you will about the song or the guy. but the revocation of the "award" had to do with a domestic violence charge that was wiped clean as part of the adjudication. if that's enough to "demonize" someone? then we are all doomed.
it's not like penn state and tufts and re: bill cosby and "honorary doctorate". sheesh.

I bought this album for pennies so I could teach myself to play American Pie on the guitar and look cool at parties (it never worked).
Played it once, and realised his output must be hot garbage if this was his 'best'.
Additional fun story: When I was 10, a girl at my school tried to kill herself by taking an overdose of paracetomol. There's no getting round the fact that this is horrible, so I'm not going to even joke about it, but shortly after, the headmaster hauled us into assembly and tried to awkwardly talk about sad feelings we might experience, and concluded by playing Vincent by Don McLean to teach us about suicide or something. So, I've pretty much been hardwired to associate him with despair since childhood.
My very first girlfriend talked me into going to this "teenage talent show" thing at her high school where a friend of hers was going to play. His big claim to fame, for her, was that he covered "American Pie" which I guess she thought was the awesomest thing ever. We went, and I was bored to death. His cover seemed to last for hours. She fawned all over this guy the whole time. Goodbye, very first girlfriend, and thanks for all the fish.
Not that I think that is a good process, but in the eyes of that process if it had eyes.
Edwin Hawley is a Trumplodyte cunt. He had a photo of Paul Joseph Watson as his avatar, and got away with it for several months. I reported it, and it was soon deleted, probably by a mod. As far as I can tell, he hasn’t uploaded a new avatar since.
