Once upon a time, around 60 years ago, there was this guy, you see. He worked at a record company and it was his job to place tracks together that would constitute an LP record. He's dead now, as are the artists whose songs he once thought of putting together on an LP. Now you are beginning to grasp why this is an inexhaustible topic, aren't you? but-but-but, the R E V E R B, man...

One thing the SHites will have to deal with:
Dave Dexter’s name is actually printed right on honest-to-god Beatles records, but their hero’s name never will be.
And even the lowest-selling Beatles record with DD’s name on it still sold more copies than the combined amount of records ever sold with STeVE’s name in the credits.

The point is that STeVE knew this man and had extensive talks with him. About the Beatles mostly. Fairly interesting stuff.

Speaking of humor: I wish an original Malaysian fan would jump on this thread and claim how this version of Sgt. Pepper was "the version I grew up on! It's great -- none of you experienced the full effect of Beatlemania in Malaysia, so you'll never know how important this version of the LP was to me growing up. It's an example of genius sequencing... such a stronger LP!" Do you find it "humorous" to invalidate the experiences of listeners in other countries and from other cultures?

The idea of the Sgt Pepper reprise fading into "I'm the Walrus" (heh) is rather frightening, but maybe in a cool way. Would leave a different taste when the album finishes, for sure. Those crazy Malaysians.
Dave Dexter's sequencing's got nothing on that.
