There are dumber, more racist, more irritating poaters than him, but this guy represents the ultimate boomer asshole. Always posts ignorant nonsense when someone is discussing new music. Wants nothing to do with anything recorded after 1978. Denigrates new artists while saying he “wouldn’t know one of their songs”.

His last album purchase was probably with the money he got for High School Graduation. SHites like him and there are others over there, take pride in their ignorance and like to tell the world all about it. It's a badge of honor over there with some not to know anything recorded musically after 1980.

So Chris Schoen discovered the Lost Classic Albums of the 1990s thread: The original poll had bands as well-known as R.E.M., INXS, Smashing Pumpkins, Jane's Addiction, and Hole in it. If anything, I'd argue that nothing's "lost" from these bands. Boomer doesn't like any music made by anyone that wasn't a white man born between 1940 and 1955. Yes, repetitive music was invented in the 1990s. Hey, I discovered music made after 1975! But I can't give it any credit without namedropping Boomer-era music. |

Idk, man...my 20 year old assistant seems to think stuff from 30 years ago is classic, even calling it that by name. Sure, he has some (even shocking to me) older stuff that I wasn't sure a 20 year old in 2021 would give a rat's ass about, but it's all lumped in for him. It's either old or new. So Chris Schlong can go fuck himself with a pine tree branch.
