I’m sure everywhere kkkleandan goes, he pisses people off and brings out feelings of violence in mild manner folks. I’d be willing to be he’s known to every manager of every place he goes for long winded diatribes on how they should run their business, his family members probably dread being around his psycho ass for holidays, etc.

You know exactly who you’re dealing with when you read the phrase differing opinion or opposing viewpoint.

I think we all knew he would pop into the Customer Service thread at some point.
Customer support/customer service, is not as useful, helpful, comprehensive as it was in the past.
There are many, many reasons this is the new normal but I think it boils down to a few general areas of overall cause. 1) In general we have become more self involved and segregated from our surroundings/community than in the past. (many causes here)
2) Most businesses, in general, are far less able to afford extra employees. (many causes here) Because of this the dedicated customer service rep is no longer there....it is the second, third, fourth job of a single employee who is already busy doing other things the manager assigned....which often makes the customer service part an irritating extra. The rep is often not very experienced either, so they don't have the background to really guide customers in a useful direction beyond what the company que card prompts.
3) Employee training is quite different, and often the employee is specifically removed from certain responsibilities due to automation. These small changes may not seem like a big deal but they have altered the knowledge and learning of the employee for the worse because the less an employee is asked to learn the less involved they are and likely the less engaged in their work they will be too. Hiring a customer service rep to answer the phone, texts, emails, and in person inquiries sounds great, unless that employee was hired and put in place while knowing so little about the products and job at hand that they have basically been thrown to the wolves. Often it seems the "customer service representitive" is trained to placate the customer, give away some trivial thing as an apology, while not actually listening to and understanding the issue in the first place.
4) The customers have become demanding, hyper sensitive, and looking to be offended on a level we have never before experienced. (many causes here too) This causes a lowering of all parties involved because people are worn down, irritable, impatient and have no further reserves for yet another trouble they have to deal with....even if this immediate trouble itself is no big deal...so they crack.
5) Social media seems to be a place where people, rightly so or otherwise, flock to post their grievances....and many seem to relish in being able to post the daily offense. This gives rise to a possible piling on effect as others then reflect on their day and wonder....."was I treated poorly by customer service today too?" Once you have people generally seeking an offense, that offense often becomes more prevalant, even if that offense was not previously considered offensive.
There are certainly other factors painting the whole picture, and things will not likely improve unless some of the core basics revolving around human nature and interaction are addresed

If it is Bezos, he'd be able to appreciate music even better than STeVE because he could buy an even more expensive stereo. Gosh!
