Paul McCartney Archive Collection - 'Forthcoming Releases' [2019+]
This one though, will be good. I see contributions from Paul and Ringo, Sean, Julian, and possibly include Now and Then.
To be clear, this is pure fantasy on my part.
But depending on which contemporary artists are included, a project like this could sell more than a Plastic Ono Band reissue.
Might even be the perfect place to dump Now and Then.
Just speculation on my part.
Ringo Starr - New Album “What’s My Name” 10/25/19*
The way I see it:
New Ringo album coming by end of year.
John tribute album for 2020.
Ringo 30th anniversary All Starr retrospective for PBS (or something) Spring, 2020.
Jeff Beck & Johnny Depp - New Single "Isolation" (John Lennon Cover)
Are there plans for 50th Anniversary John Lennon / Plastic Ono Band? What should be on it?
Still, to this day we don't have a studio tribute to John from Paul.
There isn't a tribute to John from Sean, or Julian, nothing from Dylan
or Eric Clapton. Aside from Imagine, we've never heard Yoko perform any other
Lennon tune. Wouldn't it be terrific to finally get George's live version of In My Life on an official release?
My point is, there are places that a (friends and family) tribute could go - with deeper, more emotional connections to John
than Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2 and REM - all fine bands, but all people who never knew Lennon.

I firmly believe, based on nothing other than the calendar, that our treat this year will be a McCartney-helmed John Lennon tribute, to celebrate the 80th anniversary of his birth. Might even be the perfect place to dump Now and Then.

I will make a slightly different guess- that Jack Douglas is overseeing a new John Lennon tribute album to commemorate what would have been Lennon's 80th year. And, this time, instead of just unrelated artists, Paul and Ringo are actually involved in at least one song - or something similar. This could be the fairest place to dump Now and Then if it really isn't up to Beatles Anthology quality as well.Elliottmarx said:
I know I'm the John tribute album guy - and that's just a guess of mine. I know Ringo's got a new album coming - I'm psyched. The way I see it:
New Ringo album coming by end of year.
John tribute album for 2020.
Ringo 30th anniversary All Starr retrospective for PBS (or something) Spring, 2020.

I'm still holding onto my theory that Jack is the executive producer of a Lennon tribute disc.Jeff Beck & Johnny Depp - New Single "Isolation" (John Lennon Cover)

I would have to think there will be at least one tribute album.Elliottmarx said:
That's true, and I agree that the relisten value to these tributes is generally low. Still, to this day we don't have a studio tribute to John from Paul.
