I do look at waveforms when people show them to me, but I don’t make my sound quality judgments based on waveforms. Like I said above, we are supposed to care about sound quality on this board. If you enjoy the sound quality of Chaos and Creation, maybe you shouldn’t be here. Seriously.

Well, listen to the distortion due to the peaks crossing digital zero and the lack of dynamics. If you think that sounds good, then you truly shouldn’t be here. Seriously, this is a forum for folks who appreciate the artistry of mastering. :shrug:

The fact that he steps in and doesn’t make Steve Hoffman or the Gorts do the dirty work must mean he has powers over and above their limited responsibilities and input here.
