Agree. If “My Brave Face” had been an album track on Help!, produced by George Martin and played by the Beatles, it would have fit in seamlessly and would be hailed as one of their best songs. Maybe he wouldn’t have written those exact lyrics in 1965, but the structure, melody, and overall vibe of the track are as Beatlesque as anything he’s ever done since 1969. The only "shortfall" the GH album falls victim to us that it came out 5 years too late in a time period that made great Pop songwriting seem lame. Had it been the follow up to LITMW with production qualities from that time period, I think it would have been a number one album. But either way, it's a better, more consistent album than BTTE, in my opinion. Blow Away could have been an even bigger hit if it came out in the early 70's.
