Steve: I was in a Jimi Hendrix mood today, I posted this pic on Facebook, & the "guy in the hat" responded! The Jimi Hendrix Experience in 1967. One of the greatest Rock photographs ever. Free concert in the Panhandle of Golden Gate Park, San Francisco June 25, 1967. Photographed by Jim Marshall, Leica M2 rangefinder, Leitz Summicron 35mm f.2 lens. Kodak Tri-Ex film. Jeffrey Bayard McMeans is the guy in the front row in the hat. He's my Facebook buddy and he wrote me this today. "Thanks, Steve. I have always felt that way myself. Glad now to see those camera settings of Jim's as well. --- Looking at the FB thread it appears Steve never heard of his good buddy until a half hour ago. lol

I don’t get it - why isn’t this about STeVE? Surely he’s hiding in the hat, or he’s drumming while Jimi Hendrix is playing Cecilia Ann (“he said it was a cool song. Heh”). Surely he can’t just be reproducing someone else’s story and basking in the reflected glory?
I can tell how much he’s pals with this guy Jeffrey, because he calls him David a line or two later. Tight as fuck, man.

Jim Marshall was a great photographer and personality. He took his minty Leica out with him.

Oh he'll make it about himself somehow. He'll figure it out.

Oh he'll make it about himself somehow. He'll figure it out. Jim was borrowing Steve’s Leica when he took that shot no doubt.

Oh, come on. How many years have we been doing this? We learned to properly read/interpret the asshole's poats ages ago. That FB poat IS about STEVE and only STEVE. In STEVE Speak® that poat means:
Look, you worthless, measly, meaningless little worms. I own an identical super-expensive Leica camera with the one famed photographer Jim Marshall used to take a historic pic of Jimi Hendrix. I can sit here and fiddle with the EXACT SAME aperture settings, lens and film used. Oh, by the way. Do YOU have a super-expensive Leica like Jim Marshall used to take a historical picture of Jimi Hendrix? No? You don't? That's what I thought.
Lesson #271 of STEVE Speak®.

Lesson #271 of STEVE Speak®. I seem to recall that you were working on a STEVE Speak® dictionary. Any idea when it will see publication?

STeVE seems to spend an inordinate amount of time on his little hobbies: acquiring vintage cameras, amps, fountain pens, etc., and then poating about them incessantly on Facebook and at SHiTEville. Notice how he never shares any stories about spending quality time with his wife and kids? I bet he neglects his family. It wouldn't surprise me if KaRLA is doing the landscaper.
