My disappointment is immeasurable. With the ATMP releases and now this, the camels back is really starting to break for me…When they came out with the Sgt. Pepper box set a few years back, it was outstanding. They really made you feel like you got your money’s worth, I even still keep one of the posters framed in music room. I was hoping that going forward they would do all the releases in the same way. Musically, they’ve done a phenomenal job up to this point. But the incentive to buy the deluxe editions just for the music is completely gone for me now; to get the atmos mixes in high quality for virtually free through Apple Music is good enough for me. So at this point it just comes down to A) does it look nice on my shelf? and B) What extra goodies are included.
The White Album release wasn’t what I was hoping for, but not awful. I was really hoping they would continue with the 12x12 EMI tape box design. Then came Abbey Road. The thing is so cheaply made, it’s ridiculous the amount I spent on it…
So now it comes down Let it Be. A release they could have done so much with and opted to do none of it. It looks like we get some remixes, some outtakes, an atmos mix, and a book. Yippee. Where’s the original movie? I mean at least SOME kind of video should have been included.
I think the reason I’m so riled up is because of the hopes I had back in 2017 and knowing now that I’m going to look at my shelf, imagining what could have been… And you better believe I’m still going to buy it.

@mikecarrera Any news on a separate Get Back film soundtrack release that may contain bonus content not found in this Let It Be box?mikecarrera said:
So far no news but we 'may' think something will be out in 2022 with a possible soundtrack as it was very weird so many abrupt changes in the contents so I think there is more coming, just my guess, nothing official.BuCo said:
Hate to be a party-pooper, but it seems that Apple used the wrong Let It Be font for the box. Looking at the original album cover, "LET IT BE" is written in Chantilly Serial Heavy:Looking at "LET IT BE" on the new 2021 box art, they used Futura ExtraBold:

This remains an awful record. the Beatles’ worst by far, and this box, if these photos are real, is underwhelming, yet it contains the two things I was most hoping for from this reissue campaign: a new mix by Giles of the original album, and a vinyl pressing of the Glyn John’s Get Back LP, so I’ll be first in line to buy it, although I highly doubt I’ll ever listen to the outtake material more than once or twice.MichaelPapelian said:
My reaction is the same as when I saw what was going to be included in the "Smile" box. That's it? Terribly disappointed. But that's the reality of being a bootleg collector the past 40 years. Still, isn't there at least a home demo of "Teddy Boy" in the McCartney archives?PacificOceanBlue said:
That disc 5 (EP), if true, is really confounding. Who signed off on such a farce? They have the disc earmarked for use, why not utilize more of its space with additional outtakes from the countless hours of tape? Really bizarre. Anyway, I really like this album, and want to like this box set, but I am on the fence. The EP disc is a joke, and I have no need for the blu-ray, so I may end up having to spend big money for 4 discs, and really 3 discs of interest because I don't particularly care about the remix.Floater said:
I am on holidays in Hungary with my hungarian wife, the first occasion to see her parents after two years because of Covid . There are so many posts here since this morning and pictures of the LIB release. Was there any official announcement today?
