I still believe that The Beatles have missed the boat, or it is quickly leaving harbor regarding Carnival of Light. It should have been released 6 months ago as an outlandishly expensive NFT. It could have sold, at that time for, I don't know, 2 or 3 million dollars. Someone rich would have it, and ultimately we would hear a leak. And that way it would have remained, basically, off-brand.

Yeah, that one of a kind Wu-Tang album sure is a banger. Oh yeah, the rich guy who bought it never leaked it.

Who would pay $3 Million for an ampex tape with 30 minutes of absolute shit?

I am just waiting for it to drop so these geriatric Beatards can know the feeling of having lost their sole reason for living. Quite like those Pink Floyd obsessives when "John Latham" was finally released.

It's nice to get a part in the shuffle.

The more I think of the Get Back disc as a stand-alone, the more I think the Beatles missed an opportunity to sell that first. Imagine a lost Beatle LP going number 1 52 years later? How did Smile do on the charts? I have the CD but don't remember.

I’m not sure exactly how detached from reality you have to be to think an album rejected by the Beatles themselves could go to #1. Just make 47 different colored editions.

I agree with a few earlier posters that a standalone release of the 1970 Get Back with the artwork posted above might have been an excellent idea. It could have been released and promoted as a "lost" Beatles album and/or the soundtrack to the documentary and would probably sell extremely well - possibly getting to No.1, which I doubt the actual Let It Be set will manage - though I hope it does.

Here's my current dream project, and it is super easy to do - create Beatles-related duets from the songs on Ringo, Goodnight Vienna, and Stop and Smell the Roses. On each song written for him by John, George, or Paul - the songwriter provided either a guide vocal or very prominent harmony vocal. Where possible, remove Ringo's voice from a verse, or a bridge - to make like a duet. Wouldn't even take any new technology to do this (unless the masters are lost or something.) I think it would be moving to hear John sing a verse of I'm the Greatest, or George singing a verse of Sunshine Life For Me. I know we have demos, but I'd like to hear a proper mix where these become duets. I have no doubt that this project would be a brisk seller for Ringo specifically, but even as a Beatles project in general. Seems like a no-brainer.

Ringo's sales could break quadruple digits with that kind of plan!

Today it was announced that Ringo is on the new Eddie Vedder album, this is possibly interesting because Vedder's album is produced by Andrew Watts - and we know that Paul has recorded at least one song with Watt in Beverly Hills during lockdown. Is this really McCartney news? No, but the two of them working with the same producer at the same time is nearly interesting, and with Watt and Ringo based in LA - maybe this opens the door to future collaborations between Paul and Ringo.
