Today it was announced that Ringo is on the new Eddie Vedder album, this is possibly interesting because Vedder's album is produced by Andrew Watts - and we know that Paul has recorded at least one song with Watt in Beverly Hills during lockdown. Is this really McCartney news? No, but the two of them working with the same producer at the same time is nearly interesting, and with Watt and Ringo based in LA - maybe this opens the door to future collaborations between Paul and Ringo. Yeah cause the last ones were so good…

Honestly, I think they will play more together - not sure why I think this way other than both men have been quite retrospective lately. One thing I'd like to see happen - just because folks like when things go full circle - is Paul, or Ringo recording an oldie with Pete Best. Shouldn't be a big deal, could be done in an afternoon. I just think it would be a sweet thing to do.

So McCartney continues his tradition of picking the hot producer of the day. Watt is good, but he won’t be able to do much with gravelberry throat.

One thing I'd like to see happen - just because folks like when things go full circle - is Sir Ringo changing Sir Paul's diaper, gently picking up his withered, 28-pound body, and then burping him. Shouldn't be a big deal, could be done in an afternoon. I just think it would be a sweet thing to do. It would sound better than McCartney III

I'd love it if Carnival of Light turned out to be a myth. Something Lewisohn included merely to weed out copyists.
This is the same author who claimed take 1 of Tomorrow Never Knows was a thunderous heavy metal classic, and says he doesn't hear the loudest shitting instrument anywhere on I'm Looking Through You.

Yeah he got caught on that one with TNK. He figured it would never see the light of day. It’s pure shit.

There are lots of little errors which suggest Mark Lewisohn doesn't actually know much about music. He says Take 11 of What You're Doing has the solo an octave higher, for example. It actually goes up a major 4th.

Shitey on. This was McCartney apparently attempting to sound like Cornelius Cardew / AMM, who were the London avant garde of the time. Was probably introduced to them via Barry Miles. If the Beatards are that interested, why don't they just listen to this?

Too ethnic.

I suspect that when they get around to completely redoing Anthology, it will be included as a vinyl only bonus on insanely rare, and expensive super deluxe editions. It'll ulimately make it's way to YouTube, and that would be fine with me. There are so many worthy editions to Anthology that have been found, or reevaluated since the mid-90's, that I think all 3 two disc sets could be expanded by (at least) 1 more CD.

It needs to be released, for the sake of historical completeness. I feel prepared for it. If it had been released thirty years ago, it would have been dismissed as ‘rubbish’ and meaningless noodling but, given how intense the interest is in the Beatles now, I’m sure it would be listened to and analysed with great seriousness.
