Correct, it's the German stereo version with the piccolo pasted onto the end.

What's the flute ending?

It's a piccolo trumpet, not flute

I've been reading that this has poor sound quality on here a few times, but I was still surprised by how bad it is.

I have it as a file with better sound quality. Last post here. The decorum on this forum has deteriorated badly. Had a Gort close another thread when I was rudely and condescendingly corrected.

It has been strange over the last year or so, including me at times. I think the state of the world is driving people a bit bonkers. I know it has with me.
