Oh well, then no, I'm not so convinced Will Smith was totally reasonable. That's an appalling mix up from me though. Apologies! I feel bad for that one. The worst thing is, I knew it was Chris Brown. It's ****ing ridiculous and I've tried to report my mistake to the mods, who've done nothing. Now I'm being accused of being the sort of person I despise. So by some less than intelligent reasoning going on here, if you honestly mix up two similar names, you're prejudiced against what race, gender, sexuality or any other characteristic the person may have. I made an honest mistake. I apologised immediately. The people making insinuations are nasty idiots trying to kick up a storm. Well, I've reported myself several times now, with the exact post number and thread title and nothing's been done, now I'm being judge by absolute fools who are full of crap. They don't seem to be capable of simple reading, understanding and empathy. |

I think what shocked me the most was seeing Will Smith act that way. And what he said when he sat back down. Will Smith was a punchline for how wholesome and family oriented and clean his music is when I was growing up. I can't believe I saw that out of him.

Has anyone brokered the notion that the slap was an attempt to bolster ratings/ attention for the sagging Oscars? Will Smith was not removed from the event ( like you would expect for such an outburst of violence ), and received his Oscar later in the evening ( which you would not expect for him to have received after slapping someone ). Chris Rock didn't even seem that bothered by the slap- and didn't press charges. I'm highly suspicious of the whole affair- and was not interested in the slap OR the Oscar's themselves. They both even appear to have a hint of a smile in this pic-  Plenty of people have entertained this notion, but it's highly implausible on the surface. It's been nothing but an embarrassment for the Academy. And Will Smith wasn't gonna mess up his career and crap on the Oscar he anticipated winning just to try to goose ratings. I know we live in the age of conspiracies, but there's zero logic behind that one. 'There's no such thing as bad publicity' |
