Physical media? That’s this forums breath of life. Least it used to be.

Seriously these guys are fucked in the head.
Has the Internet and Online Sellers ruined record collecting?

Music certainly isn't the breath of life for some of those numbskulls. Fondling a record cover or CD booklet means more to them.

I love the idea of morons getting ripped off buying crappy scratched up old records.

There are pockets of the internet just as fucked as Hoofy's. Over at blu-ray.com, the incels who inhabit the forum are more hung up on packaging than picture quality.

The non-forum side of the place doesn't fare much better, especially in recent years. They have for instance one particular writer who shits on any restoration that was done in Europe, even when it's reused by Criterion, almost entirely because of his politics (grew up in Eastern Europe, hates communism). This is also the guy who stated that the latest reissue of Roy Orbison: Black & White Night was sourced from the same master as the 2008 edition, while it was actually a completely different cut, as they had reedited the the original film elements for that show. Six years later, it's still not fixed. Place of film lovers indeed.

Yes, but his fluidity and density are impressive.

Zing!
as for the settlement, that $25 mill number hinges on every vinylphile getting off his fat ass and returning his precious rekkid to Mofi for a full refund. The other two options are miniscule cash or credit deals.
Imagine having your business model depend on ignorant, truculent assholes who think their LPs are full of 'stairstep' audio.

In typical fashion there, that's been pointed out numerous times but bozos still just jump to the end of the thread posting away like, "I hope they have enough money for the suit." or whatever.

I love the idea of morons getting ripped off buying crappy scratched up old records. I wish I could get back on there. People give me their old collections and I bet I could make a killing selling them beat up Rockets and J. Geils albums for $20 each.

I saw this new series of Warner/Rhino vinyl reissues which looks like the modern LP equivalent of generic midline “best of” CDs major labels crank out, and Biggie Smalls aside, most of the choices look like they were taken from online poll highjacked by SHiTes.
