I own 10,000 albums on LP and CD, but I’ve never heard of Killing Joke. I guess I’m gonna have to check them out.

Has anyone recommend him Outside the Gate yet?
Heck, I'd still rather listen to Stay One Jump Ahead Extended Mix on repeat to 90% of those 'Classic Rock' albums that they all love over there.
Wonder whatever happened to JC-001?

9,000 of them are by .38 Special. One of the few times I’ve openly laughed here since COLA left. Are you sure you’re not him?

as far as "annoying sounds," the clicking sound of John Paul Jones' bass on Beck's Bolero ranks high for me.
Also not a fan of hearing the sound of the guitar strings on various Syd Barrett tracks but I get that they only had so much to work with

I'll be That Guy; the mono mix of Icky Thump has Meg's vocals on Rag & Bone. It was the first release from Third Man's vault mailorder service. The (stereo) vinyl version of the album (the one mastered by Kevin Gray and his hapless sidekick) had a different vocal take of Rag N Bone (without Meg) and also an edited and slightly remixed version of the title song.

I did noticed that the rip of the CDr promo copy of 'White Stripes' did have it, I couldn't be bothered to walk to the shelf to check the LP, I think I've got the 7" that came with a copy of NME or Melody Maker from back in the day, that apparently did have it, Gawd, I'm like soooooOOOoo old.
I used to like 'em back in the day, saw 'em once in Liverpool, but this whole White Stripes as product to sell things to music uninterested record collectors turns me right off.

More evidence that they don’t listen to music. They listen to equipment.
Not taking anything away from the album. It’s pleasant enough. But coming from that asshole Nakamichi, this is rich.

Music expert Brian Kelly, again.
Maps (Yeah Yeah Yeah's) I had never heard or even "heard of" this song before so I was surprised to see it at #101. The opening guitar is interesting and the vocalist reminds me a bit of Chrissie Hynde. But I kept waiting for something more to happen and there really wasn't anything until the crunchy guitar near the end. That's not enough to make this a top 500 song. I can easily come up with 50 songs from the alternative ranks I'd have on my list over this. It's OK, but not quite good enough to make my "other worthy songs". RATING: 3/5

Yeah, except for that second chord.
