Sealed longboxes are now increasingly pricey collectibles... Empty long boxes are less so Some sealed ones...

All of that is going straight into the bin the moment he dies.
Most of it should've gone in long ago.

[shite]Good luck with those original US Rolling Stones ABKCOs. Some of the nastiest early CeeDees, inferior to all other Stones releases.[/shite]

Every time I look at those photos, I can feel my skin getting grubbier from the accumulated dust and grime on those 'minty' ceedees.

I can't really get my head around that someone would have bought this stuff just to hold on to it unsealed, because they hoped its value would increase 35 years later.

This type of "illness" is so prevalent on those type of sites. All of these behaviors are always justified under the guise of "investments," but it just doesn't make sense. If you go out, buy an LP or something, open it and enjoy it for years, and then it increases in value for some reason, and you sell that $10 item for $35 or something, great... fine. But to buy "objects" just to store in a closet somewhere that have served no purpose or any real enjoyment? I don't get it... Would it have not be better just to have skipped all these sealed, barely increasing rate-of-return objects and bought Apple or Microsoft stock in 1990 or whatever?

Well, I already had an idea of what this cunt looked like and now I can imagine his living quarters. Probably empty soda cans and cheetos bags strewn all over the place.

I like free money, there are records I bought just a few years ago as investments that have done way better than my portfolio.

By any reasonable argument, I should be pruning the herd at this point in my life, not accumulating anything new. I have way too much stuff. I haven't gotten serious about it yet, but that's probably cuz like most of us I'm in denial about how long life really is.
