If Biden wins the nomination and it sure looks that way, I'll vote third party for sure. I'm not voting for another guy who is clearly in early stages of dementia. I've gone down the road of "lessor of two evils" before; no fucking way anymore. Been seriously considering hopping up north to live in Canada for a while now anyway. This just gives me more incentive. The US of A is fucked under either party. The Dems are the party of the rich and the Republicans are the party of the mega rich. At any rate, Biden will have his ass handed to him in the general election. Nobody under the age of 50 is excited to vote for that guy. Meanwhile, Trump continues to rally his base. And in the end, when Biden chokes, it will be everyone else's fault except for Biden's. It's like 2016 in the upside down.

I'll probably vote Biden if it comes down to that, but I am holding out hope it won't. My biggest fear was that Bloomberg was going to get traction, and at least he is out.

Biden is a suicidal choice, aside from the fact that he could run as a Republican and no one would know the difference.

If Biden had run in 2016 instead of Clinton, the idea of a Trump presidency would be the stuff of science fiction.

I'll vote for Biden if necessary but man, he makes my skin crawl.

I’m in the UK so not really party to everything going on in the States (too busy getting mad at the Third Reich currently in power over here) but wouldn’t it benefit everyone (and by this I mean mankind in general) for those opposed to Trump to get behind whoever the Dem’s leader ends up being in order to oust Trump?

I think the mindset is that by voting Biden, you would be supporting the Democratic party becoming a non-progressive institution, on the road to becoming what the GOP currently is. If they can steamroll Bernie, then they can do that next cycle to the exciting "socialist." The old, boring democrats are far too conservative and it's about shaking things up. It's a shitty position to be in, but here we are.

And by not voting for the Democrat, you are helping to ensure that Trump and the Nazi Party remains firmly in place. This is no time for stubborn, misplaced idealism. Go that route and it is Nader and 2000 all over again. You may not like it; I may not like it, but this is the situation we have. And voting for a slightly less boorish Trump helps how? Call it idealism if you will, but voting lesser evil, only gets you more evil.

There are real-world practical considerations like choosing the replacement for Ruth Ginsberg. But it's still the don't-blow-it-with-Joe stage. Blue-no-matter-who is for November.

Trump has already replaced a quarter of the federal judiciary and 2 Supreme Court justices. Want more? Vote third party.

I have no fucks to give about the Democratic party. I voted for Hillary in 2016 only because I didn't want the president to be Trump. It was a sick, disgusting feeling to vote for a corrupt, arrogant politician over a corrupt celebrity imbecile. It was made even worse when Trump won anyways. Biden is fucking senile, has a terrible record and will do nothing but ensure that we get someone even worse than Trump in 2024. I'll never understand why so many seem to think the country's problems started the moment Trump took office. Take away the guy's mean tweets and racist rhetoric and he's no worse-arguably, not as bad-as GW Bush. The system we have in place is broken and as long as we do nothing but vote along party lines, that's the way it will stay. Fuck Biden, fuck the DNC and fuck the wealthy and the donors and everyone else who is doing everything in their collective powers to take away our democracy. Don't care if it reads as stubborn or misplaced. Murikka is fucked even if Biden wins-which will never happen.

This requires the old one step at a time. First we have to evict the shit-spewing demagogue out of 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. We can deal with everything else later.
