Nope. He done fucked up making that thread. At this point, nothing that he can announce is going to excite anyone beyond the dedicated ass-lickers.

"We started out by going back to the master tapes of Debbie Does Dallas. Not a copy, not a 2nd generation transfer, but the original studio masters. They had been beautifully preserved in a storage unit in Bakersfield. After I stopped off for a McDonalds/Vicodin recharge we were off, back to L.A.
There, in the mastering suite we listened to the tapes three times. We concurred that my noisey as fuck tube device would be the best go to. The breath of life was taken away from Debbie when she deepthroated, but we were going to give it back to her."

A quick recap shows this is obviously a PROJECT of immense magnitude. The original announcement was made on Jan. 11th, to give you some idea of the time-frame we're dealing with here. In addition to working 24/7 on the PROJECT, STEVE has found the time to poat on his world-renown website AND reopen a number of previously closed old threads, some dating back years.
How the man is able to sustain this punishing pace...well, let's just say that's why we as confidantes in the inner sanctum love, revere and nuzzle on STEVE's man-teats.
Be that as it may, and with the expectant announcement from Your Host certainly only hours away, I have received an update as to the possible titles being sprinkled with STEVE's fairae dust as we speak. My super-secret-secret source with his ears to the ground tells me it's either the long OOP Cher and Peter Cetera Duets album or the best of Holly Johnson in Hi-Rez. Given the option of these two Biz-Shaking titles it isn't easy to pick a fave. Although I am personally hoping for the latter. I mean, who wouldn't love to hear Americanos with smooth, rich, creamy, tubey midrange with microdynamics intact? Remember you heard it here first.

I just listened to all of it, and I am going to have to disagree with you here, Susan. Those young women are a lot more thoughtful, rational and joyous than any SHite. I guess it helps that 1) they don't have a lifetime's worth of bitter failure and bottled up hatred scorching their souls, and 2) I am willing to wager that most of them put this silliness behind them, oh, 13 months after the big Shea show. Since we don't have likes here... here's a 'fucking awesome'.

Unless the dickhead somehow manages to pull a major blockbuster out of his ass, and soon - which I personally have great difficulty with given his zero cred rating in the biz - whatever it may be is inevitably going to be anticlimactic. It will be interesting to see how pulls his head out of the noose he tied for himself. Sanitize the complete thread or just let it peter out on its own? Stay tuned.

Maybe it will go something like this: "We had it all ready to go (never even got a chance to master it) but at the last second, the label decided to pull it (they realized who I am and immediately had me removed.) That's the Biz!" And that's why we never got the hotly anticipated Cha Cha SACD

I'm sure this is it. The timetable works. If he gets in to the label in the next few weeks, vinyl should be ready for the Halloween shopping season, which begins in earnest the end of August. I hope there's some bonus tracks and outtakes. I'm sure those aren't the "Most Terrifying," but they should still be pretty good! It's not on the Bull Moose site yet, though.

I think a great project for perhaps someone more knowledgable here would be to update his wikipedia page and fill in some of the gaps around the FBI raid, decline in work, etc...

The history pages are well worth a trawl through en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Steve_Hoffman_(audio_engineer)&action=historyHighlights include In 2014, Hoffman remastered the Rolf Harris back catalogue for Audio Fidelity. Hoffman runs the Steve Hoffman Appreciation Forums (www.stevehoffman.tv) where he reminisces about his past work and explains why other labels' efforts are sub-par when compared to his. Steve Hoffman is a nobody. Hoffman has also worked with other labels on occasion, including Analogue Productions, Rural Rhythm, Mullet Records, Razor & Tie, and S&P. Steve Hoffman is a world-class equestrian and mastering engineer Several master tapes Steve has mastered have mysteriously disappeared.
