Chickenwings took a two hour roundtrip to a brick & mortar so he could start a thread and brag about getting the Pepsi albums five days early. Did they zap the thread? Don’t see it.

It's on beatlegdb. forum.beatlegdb.com/viewtopic.php?t=7795&sid=5a7034040df6c207bccc1bc4780f80c2There are ongoing threads there for Red and Blue and Now and Then, but Chickenwings had to start his own thread just to crow that he got his ceedees before most everyone else.

I’ve noticed (not just on SHF) that once it was announced that Now And Then was getting released, there’s a new Beatles track they’ve basically convinced themselves is a whole new song to get excited about called The Palace Of The King Of Birds. Now apparently this was in the Get Back thing, but I don’t remember it and I don’t ever recall hearing any title like that prior to maybe this year. Is it an actual thing or are they just inventing random shit to stave off the fact that the barrel is well and truly scraped? It’s just one of the many noodly bits done during the Get Back/Let It Be sessions. If you wanna hear half baked Procol Harum/The Band style meandering jams by 4 bored assholes (plus Billy Preston) then it’s right up your alley. No Billy Preston; it was in Twickenham. It's a melody that McCartney had. The whole band jams on it for like 14 minutes, however a few other times when he's at the piano he plays a bit of it. A decade later he did a bunch of songs for a potential Rupert The Bear project and revived it, at this point giving it the same Palace Of The King Of The Birds. Credit where credit is due: it's better than 12 Bar Original.

Sure, cuz they wouldn’t do a retake. “Hey lads, I got a bit choked up but let’s leave it in “.
Just please fuck off and die.

Recently read the pretty good Elton John autobiography Me: Elton John and he mentions Yoko asking him to “finish” a box of John’s demo tapes she found. Elton declines (without a clear explanation). Reading between the lines I’m guessing the songs were shit. My conclusion: Elton John > John Lennon

Elton might have been put off just by the ghoulish concept. Sir Thumbs-Aloft would have no such shame

They are absolutely losing their shit over an extra piano chord on Ballad Of John And Yoko.
They lived how many years with a dropout on Day Tripper and audible EQ changes on She Loves You without raising an eyebrow?

Day Tripper and She Loves You: George Martin = Good
Ballad of John and Yoko: Giles Martin = Bad

Adam Padja is a fucking tool.
“What the hell is going on at the end of I Am the Walrus? Sounds completely different to versions we know so far. The radio tuning is so loud, different with additional sounds that drown the music completely. Some new string passages there, interesting listening experience but nowhere near faithful to the original”
It’s a fucking remix!!!!

These freaks wouldn’t be satisfied if they were given free, demixed tracks to make their own goddamned mixes.
