I don't think the theoretical album that houses Now and Then, if it exists, will be blatantly called a "new album" by Apple or the Beatles social media. I think the focus would be on N&T being a brand new song, yes, but along with it, something more like: "Personally-curated by Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, and the Lennon and Harrison estates, Now and Then also features a selection of the Beatles' very best rarities and session tracks, including new versions of the Anthology reunion songs Free as a Bird and Real Love, all remixed in stereo and Dolby atmos... "...Something along those lines... Apple seems to prefer the term sessions to outtakes these days, so sessions it probably is. But the comp as a whole should be called Now and Then rather than Sessions. Another scenario, release the expanded 6-LP, 4-5 CD 1962-1966 & 1967-1970 albums simultaneously with the Now And Then single. A few weeks later, release a 1 CD, 1-2 LP sampler, which will of course include and center on the new song. That way it fits with the theme of the album, and could even share its name. Just an idea. Yeah that would be great, then we'd get N&T sooner. You could choose an expanded Red or expanded Blue, or a deluxe RED+BLUE box, or the N&T single/EP separately, or get various bundles of the audio options, plus merch surely. I like that. 12" EP with Free as a Bird, Real Love and Now and Then in that order on Side A....and John's three demos cleaned up and MAL remixed on Side B would be fantastic, imho. If not those three demos on the flip side (maybe Sean wants to keep the demos for a Lennon solo release), then give us one of the long experimental pieces that are still unreleased. Revolution (Take 20), or The Palace of the King of the Birds, or Carnival of Light. Why not. I was thinking: If CoL is released as a B-side, could it be considered as the "final Beatles track"? To me, including the demos helps tell the story of those songs, as well as just the cool factor of not having to wait all that long to hear cleaned up *stereo* MAL mixes of these three formerly poor-quality demos. Giles could really flex by presenting stunning versions of the demos themselves, especially when most have heard the original demos on YouTube. A bonus track that includes studio chat/rehearsals/overdub sessions from the '90s would be awesome, too. Something like the Lennon "evolution" mixes.... Since there is little rhyme or reason to APPLE's SDE strategy, why not a remix box like this: The Beatles - Carnival of Light: Recordings 1967-68LP1 - MMT (US tracklist - Remix) LP2 - Sessions 1 (Chronological Non-Pepper outtakes/demos Jan 1967 - Feb 68) LP3 - Sessions 2 (Chronological Non-Pepper outtakes/demos Jan 1967 - Feb 68) 12" EP - Yellow Submarine EP (Cancelled EP - Remix on Side A, and original Mono mixes on Side B) Bonus 7" - Carnival of Light (complete with promo artwork from 'Million Volt Light and Sound Rave')

Amending the above because I think what I wrote leaves out the best way to present Lady Madonna and The Inner Light, both of which need remixes released (although I'm sure we will get LM on Blue). Since there is little rhyme or reason to APPLE's SDE strategy, why not get Klaus to whip up some fresh artwork, and release a remix box like this: The Beatles Carnival of Light: The Mystery Trip from Pepper to IndiaLP1 - MMT (US tracklist - Remix) LP2 - Sessions 1 (Chronological Non-Pepper outtakes/demos Jan 1967 - Feb 68) LP3 - Sessions 2 (Chronological Non-Pepper outtakes/demos Jan 1967 - Feb 68) 12" EP - Yellow Submarine EP (Cancelled EP - Remixes on Side A, and original Mono mixes on Side B) 7" EP - Lady Madonna / The Inner Light (Remixes on Side A, original Mono mixes on Side B) Bonus 7" - Christmas Time is Here Again (1995 FAAB b-side version) Bonus 7" - Carnival of Light (complete with promo artwork from 'Million Volt Light and Sound Rave')

So these mental midgets have somehow extrapolated an elaborate new huge reissue campaign, and all of these idiotic and unwanted remixes and Frankensteined "sessions", and new Deluxe red and blue collections, from McCartney half-mentioning some AI-assisted "Now and Then" abortion?
Well, Yoodle my Tube.

“Personally-curated by Paul McCartney” will continue to be a problem until the old cunt dies.

The fantasy jizzwank press releases they breathlessly assemble are my favourite part because you just know that they’ll be crushed with disappointment when it doesn’t happen exactly like that.

The Now and Then thread has devolved into how good a lead guitarist George was.

Good enough to know that he shouldn’t play on that track.

A 4LP 'Best Of' called FAB FOUR would make so much sense, and each inner sleeve could have a portrait of one Beatle on it. It could be non-chronological like a mixtape, Pure McCartney-style, and incorporate all three reunion tracks. But alas...
