My opinion: I think that the ultimate destiny of Apple as a corporation has been decided already. It is likely that there is a binding process that has been agreed upon by the 4 main parties. Once Ringo and Paul move on (or within X number of years after that happens), my guess is that Apple will be sold or incorporated into some larger entity, which will be in charge of things. It may even have been done already, although it is private information. It would be close to impossible for 4 distinct groups of heirs of the Beatles to agree on anything. So Apple as a Beatle-owned company is likely to end once the main players are gone. …may I add, depressing. Still, it is better to have all these things planned out now and decided way in advance. Any potential fighting and suing and other legal hassles can be avoided for the heirs. And if this is what the main 4 principals want to happen, and have agreed to it, then they have the right to decide the ultimate destiny of Apple. It is also possible that the entity that will be taking over Apple (if that is the game plan) may have to abide by certain terms and requirements. So maybe Apple will be taken care of in the proper way in the future.
