Why drop 99 cents for Loverboy's "Get Lucky" at a thrift store when I can spend $30 on it at Stinky Pete's Record Shack?

It’s a collection of hot garbage. So dumb. I try not to be too negative, but a Motley Crue cassette tape boxset? WTF? Couldn't you just go to the nearest junkyard and search the glove compartments of all the Pontiac Firebirds before they get crushed? Oooooh, there's a Sammy Hagar picture disc. Picture discs are great, as they are 100% guaranteed to generate angry threads about pops & hisses as your needle drags over Sammy's dirty hair. Oh, look, my favorite MAGA flipper giantleech chimed in about Rekkid Store Day. We should have a pool on how much over suggested retail price the leech immediately lists the Repo Man tribute for on Discogs, and on how many months it will sit there.

/SHITE on: I hope it gets a digital release but the 3 disc version of Sun Moon And Herbs is something I've been hoping would see the light of day for a long time.

There’re some things in the list I actually got excited about. But the stuff they’re getting excited about is dreck.

Dubious Fuckwad:
Spiro Gyra. The Mahuvishna Orchestra for people who like Kenny G.

When I was a kid in the 1970s, my parents had a friend that was a fussy audiophool (maybe he's a SH.tv poater) and I seem to remember him having Spiro Gyra rekkids. I mainly remember my parents would tell me when we went to his house that I couldn't touch his rekkids and hi-fi like I could at home, so I got to miss out on cueing up Spiro Gyra and ELO. I remember telling Mr. Fussy that I loved Frank Zappa--he was appalled when he learned it was just because I thought "don't you eat that yellow snow" was hilarious at that age. Mr. Fussy was also an antique collector.

Dubious Fuckwad: Spiro Gyra. The Mahuvishna Orchestra for people who like Kenny G. I’m gonna put my SHiTE hat on here - he means the Brit folk band fronted by the hilariously named Martin Cockerham. They are not particularly good, but I know people deep into acid folk stuff who rate them. My ex was well into all that and she made me listen to them fairly often. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spirogyra_(band)?wprov=sfti1

Mr. Fussy was also an antique collector. I remember Spyro Gyra from when I was a kid too, due to one hit they had over here. Exactly the kind of thing I can imagine audiophools liking. So bland, they make Weather Report seem like Minor Threat. But staying on topic sort of, did UK early 80s smooth / jazz funksters have a different look to US and Canadian ones, or were they just as goofy? btw I secretly liked this at the time.

All I see is a fire burning and little midgets dancing around while a wild boar rotates on a spit.

I think the guy is talking abut a different Spirogyra, albeit an equally shitty British hippie folk combo. Why do I know this? Because I once knew a psych collector who paid big bucks for this deservedly obscure garbage. We laughed at him mercilessly when he kept playing it over and over in a futile attempt to convince himself that he hadn't wasted his money. Even he had to eventually concede that it was dreary Merrie England trash and sold it on for even more than he had paid for it. (Because there's a record collector scum sucker born every minute.) What does it sound like? Imagine a cast of undergrad theatre majors trying and failing to do early Fairport Convention, with arrangements by the local church choirmaster. The female vocalist was a young Barbara Gaskin, who understandably never talks about this early chapter in her career. Ah right, I know of this lot, because they came from a part of the UK I've lived in, in fact had an album named after the actual location within the town. I got confused some years back about the same names for different groups, hoped this UK one to be an improvement over the American. Due to the location association, I really wanted to like it, but found it pretty dated and hippy- drippy. Decided to stick to Kevin Ayers!

Veronica Mars started a thread bitching that some flipper already has Rekkid Store Day 2021 rekkids for sale in the SHite Marketplace, despite the fact that Rekkid Store Day 2021 hasn't even happened yet.
Yes, flippers and scalpers suck. Most people made the reasonable suggestion of "don't buy shit that's ridiculously marked up".
Danby Delight
Danby's genie comment then got people posting photos of Barbara Eden in the thread, for no apparent reason.
Giantleech has a contribution to make.
He's a flipper and a troll!
