The tattoo thread is now closed, but member MikeM manages to insert some good old fashioned racism in a thread full of basement dwelling misogynistic buffoons:

Though bot as prolific, nor as petty as that other MYKE, MikeM is the worst Mike over there.

More crud from from MikeM in a sec, but first we need to set the scene: This is the grossest thread I've ever seen on this forum. Some of the posts in here actually make me question continuing to post here. Women don't exist for men to get off on. No matter what you say to the contrary, that's what this thread is about. Yuck. This thread sucks and I hope it gets closed. I'm with you. I think this thread is disgusting. I'm OK with the fact that some don't care much for tattoos but the way it's being voiced here is borderline misogynistic. Oh well. Guess the ignore list serves a useful purpose after all. Especially the OP. OK, MikeM, take it away! What d'ya know? Another in a long line of forum posters who has no idea what the term "misogynistic" actually means. Dudley Morris and mattdm11 like this.
MikeM, since you don’t seem to have a handle on it yourself, here ya go: Misogyny (/mɪˈsɒdʒɪni/) is the hatred of, contempt for, or prejudice against women or girls. Misogyny manifests in numerous ways, including social exclusion, sex discrimination, hostility, androcentrism, patriarchy, male privilege, belittling of women, disenfranchisement of women, violence against women, and sexual objectification.
So, yeah, DeVoe’s OP, and many of the comments in that turd of a thread were misogynistic.

This is off topic, but I've been saying for years that we need to bring back segregation. Let me make it clear, I fully support the idea of separate but equal.
But African Americans who really wanna show the world how different they are need to stick to their own schools and water fountains.

Every time I ask “how the fuck did Trump win?”, I look at that place and it’s all turns clear.

And here I thought MikeM was different. I saw him tearing into those assholes that use "virtue signalling" a week or so ago and thought 'this guy is okay'. Guess I was wrong.
Cock Monger is still the same, though. He can be castrated with a rusty fishing knife.

Though now that it’s been confirmed that foreign election interference is a-OK, he’ll be getting help from nasty assholes all over the world.

MikeM is politically not all that bad (at least by comparison to others on that board,) but his comments in the tattoo thread point out some of the limitations of the 'resistance' liberal stance. I'd blame it on his age, but anti-feminism is a big thing among younger dudes on the internet too. MikeM is or was a copy editor professionally, so his job was basically to impose conformity of expression and ideology. He can't seem to help himself pointing out the 'correct' meaning of everything, but he's typically most insufferable in any topic about language or grammar.

Someone started a "Greatest Song To End A Record" thread. M*****l could have picked any fucking song in the world and decided to go with "Run For Your Life." Why am I not surprised? The best songs talk about killing bitches, unless it's that vile (c)rap "music."

This will fit here as well as anywhere. Somerset Scholar shares his delightful insights on Wildest Cat's inane problems with Beatles albums thread: "Believing Run for your life is a confessional domestic abuse song or incitement to domestic abuse is probably a sign of either unusual thinking (perhaps far end autism) or worrying mental health. Just my qualified view of course. For most people separating art from the artist is easy and normal."

I have more than enough material to nominate Somerset Scholar in the 2020 tourney if it ever happens.

Pedants of grammar and language are wrong aren't they? I mean they miss the point that language is evolving, and at some point popular slang or non-correct language might be declared official. Just how that works, or who decides, I'm not sure, but all a pedant can really do is point out whether something is deigned officially acceptable or not. They also miss the point that correcting someone's grammar is the easiest thing to do. It's surface error, and as such not that important. Most people don't care whether something is grammatically perfect, it's the content they are communicating that matters, whether fact or fiction (hello hoofy!).

Substitute music medium (vinyl, Hi-Res, CD, stream) for grammar and music itself for “content” and that’s your typical SHite right there.

Then consider me a doofus. I used to love Woody Allen's movies and while I haven't "blacklisted" him as far as watching his films, I'm deeply uncomfortable. But to a shite nameth Holerbot6000 on the same topic:
