How does our host's Venus & Mars rate?Every one of our host's masters that I own are terrific, notably Red Rose Speedway which knocks spots off the latest Macca version in my opinion. I wondered what the view was of Mr H's Venus & Mars and how it compares with other versions? Some copies are knocking around but with a hefty price tag so I thought I'd canvas opinion before investing. Thanks in anticipation. I think the acid test is Big Barn Bed which to me sounds under-par on all CDs, even the latest one. All but Mr H's on which BBB rocks out, Wings coming across like a British version of The Band.

The idea that The Band in any way rocked out could only exist in the mind of a Macca fan. And no, I'm not talking about the Hawks.

Even though he's already got the "best" versions (Hoofy's) he still buys the latest when they come out. Of stuff he already has. What is it with McCartney fans? He does right to milk them because holy fuck, they're primed for it.
