Roll up, roll up! M*****l, sparky M*****l, dons his tinfoil Beatle cap and formulates a doozy of an idea to start a Kickstarter in order to give a multi-billion dollar multi-national record company some money.
M*****l said:Is it possible to get a Kickstarter Campaign to finally get us The Beatles Volume 3 of the US Capitol Album Versions on CD? I'll bet we have an army of fans who would participate...
Karl Denver said:No. It’s not up to the fans to release. Those masters are owned by Universal. If they wanted them out they would be. It’s not about money or the cost of doing volume 3, it’s about how The Beatles/Apple/Universal choose to be represented. They made it quite clear with the US album box!
M*****l said:that's not acceptable to a life long Beatles fan...they made a bad decision changing history for revenge...they know it, we know it...a lie is a lie no matter how much you grease it...and we've been reemed with the fake US Box...they owe us US fans Volume 3...period. How can anyone deny that? Unless they really do not care.
M*****l said:so basically no one addressed my Kickstarter question? Is it virtually impossible? or do we need to guarantee a lot of money? ...beg Paul , Ringo, Yoko, Mrs. Harrison? I'm reaching...I know.
czeskleba said:Kickstarters work well in situations where a person owns music and wants to release it, but lacks label interest and the funds to release it independently. That is the exact opposite of this situation. Money is not an issue, and neither is lack of label interest. Rather it is that the rights holders do not want to release the configuration/contents that you want. Raising money (I guess to try to bribe them) is not going to change their minds, because their decision not to release it is not a financial decision, and they are already filthy rich.
M*****l said:thanks for the explanation really appreciate it. : ) I'm not up on the workings of Kickstarter...filthy rich! you've got that...
