The actual final track list changed a little bit (the leaked info actually was very old although posted several weeks later), not drastically, minimal actually but most of you will be happy, plus some tracks changed of description of take numbers, not so happy with one that I've though we will get full takes!! So, who's gonna leaked it? :biglaugh: Not me. :tsk: They’ll know soon nuff Hey, a laughing emoji. Mike must be feeling better. My guess Come And Get It will be there. MAYBE, a bit of Who Slapped John/Be Bop A Lula? C'mon Apple. I'm guessing I Want You won't be a full take... if it's mostly the February version with Billy's overdub, it might not be a full take. We'll see. Ron

I tried to find some new information in that abortion of a thread over there. I'm glad I got banned. What a bunch of insufferable pussies they are. Thanks mikecarrera!

The SHites are cumming in their mom jeans over McCartney's "Cum and Get It" being on this. Really? It was pretty ho-hum on Anthology. Badfinger did a better (copy-cat) version.
Two things: I wonder what the Atmos mix will sound like. I only have 5.1 setups. No matter what they sound like, I never want to here any versions of Cum Together, I Want You, Oh! Darling or Octopus's Garden ever again. I actually LIKE "Maxwell's Silver Hammer" very much. I can tolerate "Something" but the stolen lyrics are pretty drippy to me. Heh.

Atmos has a Dolby HD core in 7.1, which will matrix to 5.1 if that is your setup.

They should do the initial official announcement outside the studio, with Paul, Ringo, Yoko, Olivia, and Giles all in attendance. Make an event out of it, feature some speeches, showcase copies of all the editions that will be coming, set up a stage where Paul and Ringo do some songs from the album together. Stream it live. Perhaps I'm getting a bit carried away here? Which is amazing to think about. At no time in the early 1970s did Apple push to release a Beatles outtakes/rarities collection? Even though it would have sold really well. I often wonder what a single LP of outtakes released in, say 1972, and with John contributing to the decision-making might have been like. And would it be a canon album now like Red and Blue are? Might have included some of the Esher demos like "Child of Nature" and "Sour Milk Sea" in particular (new titles for the band to release), maybe "What's the New Mary Jane" and the take 20 of "Revolution" etc..."That Means A lot" isn't terrible and could work on such an album..."Goodbye" as the last track could have worked well thematically. The alternate/original "Ob-la-di" with horns would be a no-brainer, too, and a good album opener. That's seven tracks right there. Two of which are lengthy. Would probably only need 3 more. There was talk, but not until 1983 for some reason. The prevailing opinion was that the outtakes were outtakes for a reason. They were considered to be sub par to the released catalog. EMI employees like Mike Heatley, Jeff Jarratt and others started talking about what COULD be released in the future. This is where they mention Come And Get It, That Means A Lot, Not Guilty and others. Of course these same songs and more were compiled and leaked (The Boardroom Tapes, Beatles on File) just prior to Sessions, but copied from an offline source (supposedly at an Apple or EMI in-house meeting). The Beatles pushed and shoved and managed to halt, then cancel the Sessions album even after EMI hired Geoff Emerick to mix the album. In hindsight, it's possible these interviews were done just before the first batch of CDs came out and much of the public had no idea that Sessions existed as a good quality boot. I can't find the interviews now (they were in Record Collector I believe?) but it's a hoot. They do mention the Esher Tapes, more Hollywood Bowl tapes and somewhat cryptically, a 10 minute version of Revolution (they only claimed to have PART of this session) and a few others that have yet to see the light of day (maybe one of the long versions of Helter Skelter?) I think they mention the "live" version of Hey Jude from David Frost too. Maybe someone has the interview and can post it. I'm going with memories from long ago and I ain't getting any younger. Ron I was an early proponent of the August 8th announcement date. But I am not sure if I was the actual first person to state it. I wonder if the delay on Amazon US is intentional. Maybe Apple Corps has deals with Apple Music or others that include waiting a certain amount of time (even if it's just mere hours) before Amazon US is allowed to take pre-orders....

So, does anyone know exactly how many employees lost their jobs over that pretty-much-totally-accurate "leak" that gave poor mikecarrera a sick headache?
Big thanks to Steve and the Gorts for keeping this site up and running!
