By the way, Something (Studio Demo) sounds like shit. That is all.

Working 3rd shift sucks on days like this. But that's ok! First of all, all three version of Something, are quite excellent. The remix through my home entertainment center sounds powerful, with bits of stereoized drums and flourishes on George's guitar solo. Drums, bass and strings are well balanced and are separated a bit more than the standard mix we all know and love. The "birthday demo" is exquisite. Not only is the piano overdub a nice touch, it sounds good. You can hear the decay so clearly... the acetate version on bootleg sounded like a real cheapie piano and it's anything but that. George's vocal is wonderful and very upclose. Ony quibble is that he tends to say "Somethin" without the "g". I don't think he realized how special this song was, and is. The strings-only mix is gorgeous, but honestly it's there as a nod to Sir George Martin. Nothing more, nothing less. Gripe of the day. People squawking about the sound listening on their fricken cell phones or through their laptop speakers. Please stop. At the very least listen through your main system before commenting on muddy bass, distortion and other specific audio issues. PLEASE!! Ron Here's how I see it shaking down [presuming they will do deluxe boxes for all]: 2020: Let It Be 50th 2021: Revolver 55th 2022: MMT 55th 2024? A Hard Day's Night 60th 2025? Help 60th 2025? Rubber Soul 60th 2027? Please Please Me almost 65th 2028? With The Beatles 65th 2029? Yellow Submarine 60th 2029? Beatles For Sale 65th There's still a lot of wiggle-room for re-prioritizing, but that's a rough idea of how they could be scheduled with an eye towards both popularity and 5-year anniversaries without overlapping except for the last one, where I figured YS would be early/mid year nd BFS in the Dec timeframe [in honor of their actual release dates] and maybe Rubber Soul or Help would slip to a 61st Anniversary... That's also leaving out a Past Masters [or whatever it be named going forward] collection box set and whatever other goodies [eg. Christmas box, singles box, etc] also dribble out. Also gives more time to mature "demixing" process for earlier albums... And all this is purely whim and could never happen or change radically... I have absolutely no inside knowledge, just imagination and hope.... :magoo:

“The prevailing opinion was that the outtakes were outtakes for a reason.”
I wish this was still the prevailing opinion.

That Beatles for Sale 65th 10 years from now should really be something.

Shit. I was really excited about this release, but it turns out they've filled it with tracks from The Beatles' second worst album.

Arnold Grove "jokes" every few poats, and an obligatory Heather Mills take. The dumbest music forum indeed.

I honestly can only discuss it sincerely here because even among Shiteville that thread is an absolute dumpster fire. If i read it too much I might wind up cancelling my order.

And once again, Amazon Canada accidentally listed the deluxe set at a crazy low price by mistake. The usual SHites pre-ordered it at that price and are now up in arms because, just like with Sgt. Pepper's box set, Amazon has cancelled their orders. They are gutted. Thank God some of them took a screenshot of their purchase. That will fix everything. Have any Canadians had their order cancelled yet? I just put in a single copy and so far it's still showing up valid in my order history. Seems like most people who have commented on cancellations so far, were US purchasers.
Same here, I got a confirmation email for my Amazon.ca order, and it's still listed on my orders page, but by the sounds of it, it won't be long before it's cancelled I'm an Aussie living in the US and they haven't cancelled mine ....
I think the Amazon CA cancellation rule applies to all citizens of the Commonwealth regardless of residence, or that's the plan I'm sticking to. So you're good!:tiphat: [WRONG] Maybe being in Canada you have some sort of Consumer Protection regarding advertised prices?
. . . or perhaps an Amazon Canada policy of fulfillment to Canadian addresses first/only on massively popular pre-orders? My order is still active . . all fingers crossed.
Are people exausted after todays event ?

Oh, yes. That Amazon Canada policy of fulfillment to Canadian addresses first/only on massively popular pre-orders. I know I read about it somewhere.
