Ha. I've never gotten around to watching that, but I know that dialogue from the old Double Dee & Steinski thing.

I had such a huge crush on Ellen Barkin, for which my wife would mock me mercilessly.
"She's a dog!"
I know.

Her best role was as Tom Waits' psycho girlfriend in "Down By Law". She's only on screen for the first ten minutes or so, but she steals the movie (similar to Alec Baldwin's bit in Glengarry Glen Ross).

I'm queer but I think Ellen Barkin looked amazing and seems like a cool hang like her look-alike Angie Dickinson. Of course didn't Angie get canceled or some shit?

One more vote for Ellen Barkin. That crooked smile drove me wild.

I’ve confused her with Ellen Burstyn for years and thought she was in Requiem For A Dream (which tops my list of films so dark that I never want to see again).

Here's the scene, cued up (or 5:52 if that doesn' work). I'd love to see her character in this movie deal with the asshole husband in Diner.
