"Working up the courage" to use an old camera - that's my favorite Hoffy quote in some time. In his Vicodin Haze(tm) he might not even realize it, but I think that's his most honest post yet. The reason we've never seen one photo he's ever taken of anything is because indeed he is afraid (and likely right) that he has no idea what the fuck he is doing. This is his only post that explains why his ratio of iPhone photos of old cameras to photos taken by old cameras is 100000:1. I guess that it’s very representative of his expertise in general. He drowns people with a ton of trivia about the particularities of some revision which was produced for a couple of years, he learns a few specs that most people ignore but he has no actual experience with the thing. It’s all big words. That’s how he impressed executives into getting a gig as a mastering engineer even if he’s definitely not an engineer and he needs someone else to operate everything. He simply talked his way into a career. |
