I think KKKarla has learnt the hard way that marrying somebody for their resources has its price. Their union has long crumbled; the dead give-away being their current political leanings which couldnt be further apart. I might have thought STeVE was more of a left-leaning liberal until he started bragging about collecting WWII-era shit from Germany, as well as giving actual nazis safe haven in his shithole of a website. I’d imagine that Hoffman’s extended family tree must have had at least a few members affected by the holocaust, so his actions are particularly loathsome. STeVE and Qarla are totally cut from the same feces-encrusted cloth. |

I’d say Hollywood liberal. Says all the time that he’s a progressive, but is a dick to his South American cleaning lady and has a stroke every time a tax raise for the wealthy is mentioned. He’s a charade.
Otherwise, from his state of neglect, including the hair or the shirts, and from the time he spends online begging for validation and love from his remaining fans, or buying on eBay and other places useless pieces of junk that turn into the 8th wonder of the world from a cursory read on Wikipedia, the guy has obviously no social life.
He goes at record industry and radio conventions, poses with people he call his friends and peers, but no one is interested in his “stories” outside of clueless audiophiles when he does a lecture or posts them online. Do you think that he would post all these factoids about 1950s cameras that he found online if he had anyone in his life who’d like to hear them? “I was asked…” is a necessity for him to give the illusion that he’s not just a useless has been (or never was) with a trust fund who has no one who wants to listen to him and he only has either suckers like lukejosephchung or frauds like the guy from Audio Note who “lends” him ridiculously priced material so Hoofy can pimp it to the suckers.

I can’t believe no one else here has seen Longlegs. Nicholas Cage’s character’s appearance is a double for Hoofy. The funny thing is, to hype it as the scariest/most grotesque character in film the makers won’t release any images so googling you can’t find any decent ones. (The film’s pretty shit btw.)
