I have to say, I wish that any Beatle or solo remasters would refrain using anyone from The Beatles / Apple/ EMI camps, including their kids. I have the cd and the high-resolution versions of the new release. Why would you exclude the finished I Live for You with Pete Drake? Why would you exclude My Sweet Lord sans the Krishna singers? How about George's version of It Don't Come Easy? The 2010 download which seemed to be an uncompressed early master of the album, if you do some judicious level gain is a wonderful version that actually makes the entire presentation sound wonderful. I feel that Phil Spector tried to make an album that sounded like it was recorded in the backyard of Friars Park, and the 2010 version achieves that. When they did the one in 2015, that was worthy of the garbage heap with how red-lined the whole thing sounded. Living in the Material World is absolutely awful with how little "space" is in the recording. The Beatles are my favorite, I also love Elvis. Elvis' catalog has been treated like "the King" he was and is. The Beatles recordings have been treated with so little respect. I mean this in all sincerity and politeness. George's music is more important than him being your dad. Dhani, Paul, Yoko, please put the tapes away and search for an archival tape producer like Vic Anesini, Bob Ludwig, Steve Hoffman, or others. And make sure you enlist music historians so mistakes aren't made (Ain't She Sweet with Bernard Purdie on drums comes to mind). The version we've been given is interesting to listen to, but it's hardly definitive and not "the best". I plead for those who work in powerful places, please take up the efforts of John Barrett so we have some legitimate history to hold onto. We need new heroes to give us our new Sessions, Get Back, and Guitars Kissing.

Sure. If you want all your masters replaced with copy tapes.

You mean "remastering" using the original CD as the source?

Living in the Material World is absolutely awful with how little "space" is in the recording. So that's the problem! I've always wondered why I hate that record.

Ridiculous post, anyway. Everything Beatle-related that actually matters (i.e. Beatles original core catalog, early solo Lennon, early solo McCartney) has been remastered with extreme care. I wouldn't know what editions of All Things Must Pass sound good. Who cares?

I’m sure Vic Anesini is thrilled to be in such esteemed company as Hoffman...

Living in the Material World is absolutely awful with how much "George Harrison" is in the recording. It's either the space or the George Harrison. I wish Steve could fix those two issues. But George's fucking family won't...argh...

It would have been a better album if George invited BOBBY WHITLOCK to play and sing on it.

By 1973 George was already formulating plans for his estate to ignore Bobby Whitlock. Such a George thing to do. Some say John was the cheeky one, but us old 'heads know better. Nice Beatle, my ass. Depends on if you met him on a chanting or a coke day!
