Sounds like East Bay Ray's purposely masturbatory solo from "Pull My Strings".

Serious question: what is this condition people like this idiot, freeman and Scoot have? Derision seems to just go over their heads. They have no self awareness. They almost revel in the insults. Is there a name for it? And don’t say “asshole”. 😆

Narcissistic personality disorder Belief that you're special and more important than others Fantasies about power, success and attractiveness Failure to recognize others' needs and feelings Exaggeration of achievements or talents Expectation of constant praise and admiration Arrogance Unreasonable expectations of favors and advantages, often taking advantage of others Envy of others or belief that others envy you

The thing is, there is quite a bit of overlap between conditions. Rfreeman displays narc traits, but lack of self awareness also characteristic of autistic spectrum (I suspect a high proportion of shites have degrees of autism). Arrested Development and Borderline Personality Disorder are very close together - and Scoot also displays aspects of these, or at least it seems to me!

Describing any aspect of In Bloom as "jazz" is too stupid for words.

Oh Christ, he's off again. I made the mistake of clicking on the thread... forums.stevehoffman.tv/threads/studio-songs-with-just-electric-guitar-and-vocals.1124954/...without looking at the name of its creator underneath and noooo!!!, it's one of his. And he's going on about Courtney fucking Barnett again. Who the fuck is Courtney fucking Barnett? I'd never even heard of Courtney fucking Barnett until a couple of weeks ago when this idiot posted a YouTube of one of her alleged melodies, declaring that about ten seconds or so of it were "stunning". So I click on it, and it's just about the most mundane uninspired tuneless indie crap I've heard in a long while. Now every time I see the name Courtney fucking Barnett, posted by this tone-deaf cretin as some high watermark of musical expression, I just want to go out in the street and punch the first person I see. (I've lurked here for years, even going back to the old board, but while I used to visit about once a week or so, such has been the exponential rise of imbecility and absurd niche threads over there recently, I find myself returning here every day, but this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to post. He's easily the most annoying poster since [fill in the blank].)

About the only positive thing I can say about him is that he likes Courtney. Sounds like you are having a knee-jerk reaction after listening to a few seconds of her music.

Oh, I've listened to more than just his recommended few seconds of the Courtney Barnett vids, for sure. It's not just Courtney, there's the whole Jimmy Page jazz thing, the appeals for musical validation to the forum Adam Neely wannabes, the finest this, the finest that, the works. Not knee-jerk, I've been festering for weeks.

On vacation a few years back and we all bought a CD to play in the rental car for our road trip through New England. Oldest son picked the latest Courtney Barnett album. About halfway through it got voted down 3 against 1. Too crafty/smarmy/precious for most of this family, sorry.

Are these her most well-known songs? They each have over 8 million views.
Not my thing but who cares.

Pedestrian At Best is an ass kicker. Love that song. I can see how her delivery isn’t for everyone, but the energy is certainly there.

Not my thing but who cares. “Avant Gardener” is probably a little more “Millennial Sheryl Crow” than it really needs to be, but I like the first two EPs and first LP (haven’t heard the two albums after that). This song is the one I like best from the first LP:
