The song is actually in E with a pentatonic Mister Mxyzptlkydian scale, but Page throws in some bluesy Bs and jazzy f sharp minor seventh half tempo key changes.

I posited that theory but ultimately decided, at that time at least, that TDSOTM was just one of those obfuscating trolls who was intentionally goading a gullible RRB who strikes me as the Forrest Gump of the forum, less in terms of being at the right place and right time at various points in history, more in terms of the leisurely speed of his wits.
