I posited that theory but ultimately decided, at that time at least, that TDSOTM was just one of those obfuscating trolls who was intentionally goading a gullible RRB who strikes me as the Forrest Gump of the forum, less in terms of being at the right place and right time at various points in history, more in terms of the leisurely speed of his wits. RRB Oh fuck off. In my 57 years on this planet no guitar solo has made me cry.

Songs have made me well up. But never a solo. Not even Cinnamon Girl.

I don’t know, some of Rfreeman’s solos have made me cry.

Songs have made me well up. But never a solo. Not even Cinnamon Girl. Obviously not heard David Gilmour full pelt on Comfortably Numb. Could make a glass eye weep, that one.

Plus the "My guitar hero is as good as those so-called jazz virtuosos" mentality; Page (or whoever) is so good that "jazz" just comes out of the universe of sound they are spinning. I can get stoned and miss what I intended to play - can I be "jazz" too?

Full disclosure: the solo on Macca's "My Love" not only makes the song pretty great, it gives me goosebumps. The story is he told Paul "I got this" and did it in one take. Take your best shot.

Bunch of fucking pussies.
I guess start a thread over at hoofy's about what song or solo makes you misty-eyed, and then we can have a thread with a poll so people can vote over what makes their manginas wetter - the song or the solo?
If rfreeman is involved, you probably can't tell the difference between the song and the solo, which will complicated things.

Jimmy Page's solo on What Is And What Should Never Be, specifically from the Royal Albert Hall show. The tone of the guitar is fatter and bassier and just sells it so much better than the album version.

There's about 17 key changes too.

Did Lennon feel upstaged by McCartney's vocal performance on "Monkberry Moon Delight"?

The best part is so many idiots giving sincere replies, amongst the ones filled with scorn.
