Ryan Adams Returns to Carnegie Hall (5/14/22)I can’t go back to his stuff yet or maybe I never will. Interesting to know he’s back out there again though Good for Ryan! Hope puts together a great band and goes back out. Glad to see that there are people who can see through the Bull S.

Mccook weeps inconsolably whenever a sports TV camera focuses on a pretty girl in the crowd

The only good thing that Adams has been associated with in a decade is producing most of Jenny Lewis’ recent albums, which mostly implied making a few phone calls to session players. At least, her songs are catchy and completely written, as opposed to the half-assed stuff he comes up with for his own projects. What appeared promising in the days of Whiskeytown and his early solo albums became more and more a self-indulgent posture revealing a lack of commitment.

To look at a different angle for a moment, the timing of this article is more than a bit curious. The writer just happens to get all the facts and it all written for release just three days before their tour begins? Okay. Given that Pitchfork has always been Arcade Fire's biggest cheerleader in the media, it smacks of "we always had your back and you do this, so take that!"

I was just listening to Heads Gonna Roll by her last night. I thought her statement after all the allegations came out was very classy too. "Although he and I had a working professional relationship, I stand in solidarity with the women who have come forward."

Good news for Ryan Adams. He can get a new gig opening for Arcade Dire. (originally a typo, but I'm keeping it)
