IIRC, Hoffman bragged about solving on his own all the issues that the master tape had, to exaggerate his contribution and pretend that his edition was definitive. Ezrin then pointed out that there was a reason for which they had made such choices, that all subsequent mastering engineers had respected them, and that, in doubt, he could have reached out to him.

Thanks for the clarification. I remember these happening (or reading about them) but they’ve happened so many times they blur together after awhile.

It's not like we're that tough to find. I'm just saying.”

The 10th anniversary of Ezrin’s epic STeVE smackdown is only a few weeks away (Nov. 16th). While Hoffman’s “career” had largely fizzled by that point, I’d say the debacle made Daddy even too toxic for low-rent strip-mall record labels.

At this point, on the subject of the stellar "career" of Steven Hoofenhimmler, I generally like to point out available resources. Of course, you're welcome.

While Hoffman’s “career” had largely fizzled by that point, I’d say the debacle made Daddy even too toxic for low-rent strip-mall record labels. For 2 key reasons : 1. Fear of being called the fuck out, per Bob Ezrin. And 2. No one hires him anymore anyway.
