Remember the time Ron Furmanek told off Kim Olesen (who then wrote many lame poats trying to explain how it wasn’t fair he being blamed for running Furmanek out of SHiteland)? Have a look: Magical Mystery Tour, Blue Jay Way and Your Mother Should Know are remixes (not very good ones imo, strange decisions were taken on them). Dear Kim, IMO you are wrong! I mixed those 3 songs back in 1987/88. I feel they were much better than the record versions and still hold up today. I’m sorry to say this, but constant opinions, words and comments like this on a public music forum about other peoples work is why I and others in our shoes do not come here anymore. Go back and check all of my courteous and informative old posts here from 10 or so years back, it all came to a halt because of the strangeness. I said this before, but do we all have to start our own fan chat boards in order to be respected? I’m very proud of this work, who else can claim they remixed the Fabs, huh? An old saying goes, “if you can’t say anything nice, say nothing at all”. The hating and ragging on everything and anyone other than Steve seen daily here is downright uncalled for, embarrassing and sad. Best wishes Ron (the Real one) My favorite part is what I highlighted. I’m sure he was sending it out to Olesen, Hoffman, et al. (BTW, “the REAL one” is a dig at Braindead for some of his douchebagginess…) |

Would you happen to be able to direct me to that exchange when (Real) Ron put the clampdown on braindouche? I was telling a friend about it recently but had no idea if I read it on the old SC or if it was posted here somewhere. If I recall correctly, people would ask "th'douche" if he was Furmanek and he either wouldn't respond or he would give a vague answer until Real Ron showed up to give him a real nice Stooges slap and told him to knock it off.

A: I didn't get the part, I think it was my shitty attitude, but decided to set up a bad ass Scandinavian rock band instead. We are that close to selling a thousand albums. We will make it one day. |

"I am a guitarist (alledgedly) for a living, that has recorded more albums as a keyboard player, than on my main instrument. But you may call me a multiinstrumentalist or a jack of all trades and master of none, though i am only an adequate drummer.
I also already made multimiked recordings of my schoolband when i was 10, and became a Beatles fan after that. So when i first heard the BFS and Help albums, i was overcome by a feeling of joy (because of the music) coupled with a sense of bafflement on the mix. I was 11 and didn’t yet know that studios twenty years before were not as studios in 84, where you had control over everything and could change everything.

Ron Braindead deliberately led people to infer that he was that Ron. Then the real Ron Furmanek stepped in. |
