I don't get why someone would whore himself out for attention the way Scoot does. I may be ignorant to trauma's that can shape a person in such a way. But from what I can see, Scoot is neither a grounded person, nor does he behave like a grownup. He seems eternally stuck in his phase as an isolated 14-year-old-boy, whose only self expression is through music; to validate himself and ultimately make himself heard. He's too immature and too lacking in self-awareness to have any sort of meaningful relationship. And he is too narcissistic, too anti-authoritarian to have a career or even hold a job. He's a loser and he knows it. He deals with it by alternating over-the-top bravado with extreme self pity.
Having said that, I wholeheartedly feel he deserves an award for being the most skillful troll that SC ever had. Cheers Scooty!

A few years ago, a fabulous SCOOT parody was unleashed here. Here it is again > Play I think that's the first smile I've had in around 2 weeks. Cheers, scoot soundalike! Love the attention to out of sync drums, and the 'inept' guitar break, as well as vocal delivery. This is kind of like those 60s and 70s albums where a bunch of session people did the hits of the day in a parallel universe where people were paid to imitate indiemusic people.
daved did that.

Absolute genius. I can't stop laughing. The Claus line had me in tears.

Thanks Daved. By the way, the Springsteen parody (Quality Street) I thought also had a bit of this in it.

Anti-authoritarian is a good trait, no? I don't think I'm more lacking in self-awareness than the average person. I admit that I really don't know who I am. but the other day I dove into an old taped-up box of lyrics I haven't opened for maybe 20 years. The stuff in that box, that was definitely me. I run a business but we've been shut down from Covid since last February, going to start back up again this October. It's kind of a struggle, I hate it.

A few years ago, a fabulous SCOOT parody was unleashed here. Here it is again > Play ok I listened. Made me chuckle some. When the song started, with the intro, it sounded like it had some potential. The voice was unbearable. I hope mine doesn't sound that shitty, I know some people think I do. The guitar solo wasn't as nearly well-written as mine. Anyway I'm gonna link a forum of friends to this, they will probably love it more than you guys do since most of them don't respect my music abilities any more than y'all do.

That’s a real gut-buster. Has your hobbit ass found a way to get to Princeton, NJ this afternoon?

Classic Rock is in the midst of a big revival.
If you hang out on social media, surely you notice that all these rock lovers are coming out of the woodwork to discuss and debate their favorites, making all these lists and posing endless questions. I mean of course they talk a lot about Zep and Floyd, but a lot of mediocre acts get their share of mention as well. Rush and Iron Maiden among others are just bantered about every minute of the day.
Now if we can get them to slide over to some new music, we might be getting somewhere.
