I would suggest the ultimate mix of "Grow Old With Me," from Gimme Some Truth, and "Free Now" from Paul's Liverpool Sound Collage. That track is based on a Sgt. Pepper (title track) outtake, discovered by Paul during the Anthology process. Paul and Super Furry Animals added George's voice from the "Think For Yourself" sessions, and some instrumental overdubs to it for Paul's experimental album in 2000. And finally the acoustic Love version of "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" with the extra verse and George Martin's gorgeous score (giving this playlist 2 Martin scores). That gives you 6 tracks and feels much more like a modern "mini-Beatles" album. 1. Now and Then 2. Real Love 3. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Love) 4. Free as a Bird 5. Free Now 6. Grow Old With Me (Gimme Some Truth)Of course you could fill it out to album length with 4-5 outtakes (Not Guilty, Mary Jane, Come and Get It, etc.) from Anthology or the recent SDEs, too, but for me these will be main six, and at least 2-6 flow well together. Others will disagree or have their own ideas, and I think that's part of the fun. Maybe Now and Then will make for a good opener, we'll see!

Nothing screams modern like music from the '60s and '70s that was later worked on in the '90s and early '00s. Should be chart topping fab gear smasharoo, that one. I'll take 5.

I'd add Ringo's Walk With You from Y Not which is basically a duet with Paul. And Ringo and Paul doing Fats Domino's, I'm in Love Again from Klaus Voorman's album. I know they really can’t do this because it would confuse people, but how about the last Beatles album be the “Plastic Beatles”. The new track plus unfinished stuff finished off by a bunch of different artists. Over the years we’ve had The Plastic Ono Band, The Plastic Macs, The Exploding Plastic Inevitable and the Tape Beatles. We’ve had the Rutles, The Wonders, Meet the Residents and Meet the Smithereens. Paul has hinted at some of this participatory stuff and sometimes did more than just hint at it. Putting his sheet music for new songs on buildings. Providing parts to make your own mixes. Commissioning alternate versions of his albums in a couple of cases. A fun way to pass the torch, no?
