I'm guessing I won't be bumping into him at any orgies any time soon. His wife on the otherhand...

To that, I would reply that in the old days, we played the same stupid albums over and over because we had no choice. We had to "learn" to like them. So, over time, like 20 years of playing the same mediocre records, people started to discover the hidden charms of It's Only Rock n Roll and Extra Texture.
Nowadays, if an album sucks, I don't have to force myself to like it with 100 plays. Into the archive it goes, and on to something that looks more promising. If it turns out to be good, I appreciate it.
SHites sure have a lot of things to worry about.

The "Forever Changes" effect.
You bought it so you just have to keep playing it until you LOVE it.

Yeah, when you have at best 20 CDs, playing Let It Be every Sunday night is reasonable. I get the impression they do that with a particular album even if they have collections numbering in the thousands.
