Those low-numbered pressings just added a whole new dimension of value. Think I better place my DCC & AF Discs in a Fire Proof Box where I keep some vital documents. Also I'm really glad to see you back Antiram, it's been a while!

Those Alice Cooper releases will have to be pried from my cold dead hands. And at that point, thrown directly into the trash with all the other dross your heirs have no earthly interest in.

Lots more time to bump old threads now.
And create new ones about cartoons and other stuff he saw on TV when he was ten.

I never bought a single AF release.
This one does not hurt.

Anyone register afblowout.com yet? Exactly. Where is that guy that did it when dcc bit the dust. Was it Craig Morer? Should I change my name?

Have you seen STeVE’s recent tweets? He’s trying to portray himself as an equalities warrior, at complete odds with his nazi followers. I want to see how this plays out when STeVE finally loses it, flips and goes on a forum rampage against the SHites.

AF churned out a lot of shite over the years - 240 according to discogs. Fortunately I have not heard any of them but to celebrate the passing of this stupid label what were their most stupid releases? Maybe compile a top ten - shitest of the shit. This one seems like a contender http://

No More AF? I was really looking forward to potential remasters of obscure Grass Roots albums or something by The Brothers Johnson. Now - we will never get to hear them.

The image is flipped from the DCC version
Not the most flattering picture of Buddy Rich, but then is there such a thing?

The Buddy Rich Ess Aye See Dee is a pretty good example. It's a late 70s recording originally recorded for a then trendy "direct to disc" label which has been licensed out to pretty much anyone willing to pay the fee since. "The Best Band I Ever Had" tagline is a bit curious as this version of the band is pretty non-descript and I've never seen a attribution for that quote.
At least he's got a better rug than he did in the late 60s/early 70s.

I'll never understand Wynne. Let's pretend that AF had a top-notch audio product. So clear that you could hear Buddy Rich's synapses fire or the warm goodness of Creed from Grass Roots/The Office's soul or whatever. Best in the world. Why fuck it all up with that bargain bin graphic shit? I avoided the label mostly because of how stupid the company's art was. It's not even retro kitch or interesting collage work. Any art school kid would have done a million times better work for an eighth of weed and a pizza. Whatever mismanagement went on, he bears some of the blame/credit for the sinking of the label.

Wynne really captured the essence of the album with that luxurious cover art. Here is another stunner found on his discogs page... I'm not sure how the music biz will move forward without these industry titans. Begs the question: Who is Carl B. Wilson?
