So in light of today’s news I wanted to see what rows were getting gorted over there and wow, this must be a new record, Telepricker started a thread on the show’s cancellation because of racism with the comment “I wonder if Fox will pick it up?” and it’s been locked already before even 1 comment. Could this be a new record?
I bet those fucking gorts woke up and thought, “well it’s gonna be a helluva day at “work” today”. Fucking losers.

Considering a lot of the Gorts are Alt-Right Trump supporters like Roseanne, I think they sort of had to put the kibosh on any Roseanne talk because Steve isn't an Alt-Righter, and it's his forum after all. They might not have wanted to, but if they want to poat a bunch of Alt Right self righteous indignance, well, that's what Breitbart is for.

This whole story smells of bullshit. She makes one awful but hardly out of character tweet, and suddenly the whole show is cancelled? It would be absurd if true, that all the cast and crew would lose their jobs over the actions of the star. I suspect the show was already shitcanned and that ABC wanted to make a statement out of it (backpedaling after initially giving Barr a show despite her political leanings.)
Fuck Roseanne, fuck ABC, fuck the Gorts, and a perennial fuck Telepricker

Her tweets read like somebody who spends too much of their free time on Breitbart or Infowars. I don't think ABC and all those Hollywood liberals liked the fact that the show was so successful, they were probably looking for the tiniest reason to axe it, and she gave them one. Well, congrats, Roseanne- yer career is going to be completely fucked now (to be termed a racist in 2018 is pretty much the kiss of death), and I'm sure John Goodman and the rest of the cast/crew are just thrilled to lose their meal ticket.

The cast (as well as ABC) are probably happy to have severed connections with her. But just why did they think working with her was a good idea in the first place? This is exactly the outcome you'd expect, and ABC comes out the hero, but I hope the cast and crew are ok (and that they didn't turn down anything to take this or that they expected it would be short lived.)

Even if Roseanne is a little cuckoo in the head, the writers were mostly liberal (people like Wanda Sykes or Whitney Cummings), and they hoped they could connect with blue-collar America through the show and send it a rather progressive message. They assumed that Roseanne would stop for a while to spend her time on Twitter to voice her inner thoughts. At least, if I were an attorney for ABC, I would have asked for such a clause in her contract. But everybody failed to understand that she wasn't able to stay clear of conspiracies or racist attacks. Then, it was just a matter of time before she would say something horrid, resulting in the cancellation.
Anyway, her explanation blaming it all on Ambien was one of the most ridiculous apologies ever written.

I could almost see somebody getting the lawyers involved citing breach of contract or something like that; happy to have severed connections with her or not, I could see one of the lesser actors/actresses on there -not John Goodman, at least he still has a career of sorts- being a bit pissed off about losing out on their share of the money the show made. Don't know how successful a lawsuit would be, but it wouldn't surprise me. Not that I watched the fucking thing- I didn't watch the original either, 'cos I always thought Roseanne Barr was an annoying, screechy, crazy cunt, and I was not wrong. With the reboot and how they played up the whole Alt Right aspect of the show, I knew what we were gonna get. But this morning I was watching a bit of CNN (don't ask me why) and they had a bunch of talking heads/"experts" on (all black folks, I might add) getting all indignant about the show and the "Roseanne" character and all I could think was, "Jesus...I bet none of you are old enough to remember All In The Family and Archie Bunker. If you thought Roseanne was bad..."

There's a bit of chatter about this on another, already existing thread. PaulWTF was well off the mark in insisting that ABC wouldn't do anything. Roseanne

Because she's not bothered UK TV screens for the past 25 years, I honestly assumed Roseanne Barr must have died some time in the 1990s. She should have spent some of the time off learning some jokes.

It's both funny and telling to see the Trumpets equate comments they disagree with on The View or Bill Maher’s orangutan bit on Real Time with the unabashed, bald-faced racism of Roseanne Barr.

Other networks are probably working out if they can pick it up and rework it without Roseanne. It was a massive hit so I think money will win out and Trump will probably give her a job.

I interviewed Barr not long after the Star Spangled Banner hubbub in 1990. She put on the same act then: Who me? I didn't do anything wrong! Everybody misunderstands me! Also, she and her scumbag husband/manager Tom Arnold swore our interview was exclusive, and the next day variations on what she told me were in every media outlet in town. Not a fan.

Yeah, ABC knew exactly what they were getting, and green-lit the piece of shit reboot anyway.
