So, you guys tell me... Is this a bona-fide female, or the heavy metal Johnny Quest? Or maybe a Beatard in drag, even?
Not that I'm looking for a date or anything, I hasten to add. Baby.
Hope it is OK for me to be here. I know a little about music. I'm a non practicing violinist and I am teaching myself to play guitar. Beyond that I have no real knowledge of how music is made.
I am currently researching Ozzy, namely his voice and phrasing, but private life issues too. I am 48, so it will sound strange that I just started LOVING Black Sabbath and Ozzy solo. In fact, my research has been exceedingly intense. I will be receiving his book "I Am Ozzy" soon, but mostly have been reading/watching interviews and watching doc's, searching forums and reading YouTube contents.
This seems like a good forum, the only one I have signed up for so far. Critical reviews are fine but mean comments about Ozzy hurt me and for sure hurt Ozzy. So many terrible comments out there. Ozzy has had his troubles, we all have. He just happens to be so transparent, he gets so much flack. So please don't tell me things like, "I saw Ozzy and he sucked".
So, will someone tell me a little about phrasing?
Thanks for reading
Paulette
And legato could be a partial description of Ozzy's phrasing?
What I've read of Don Arden, I do not like him.
The opera singer who critiqued him said he has limited range. How could she know from one song?
My ear tells me otherwise. But I'm not an opera singer.
Anyone know much about him recording himself singing and using the recordings with his live voice?
Gosh I love talking to all you guys. Learning great stuff about Ozzy baby.
Ozzy has stage fright. So do I and so does Hugh Grant. Many others I am sure. But we are expected to perform any way. If Ozzy did that, like Tim1954 said, it was once. And it would have been instant legend.
I met a guy at the concert last night said his wife went to a book signing and they told her not to touch him. Is this standard?
This has never happened to me before. I'm like 14 now finally. I HAVE to meet him
Anyway
I've heard BS themselves say they're just hard rock. Funny huh?
:tiphat:

Thanks to you all for your responses. I love Ozzy so much. Go to YouTube and search for "Sabbath Bloody Sabbath" on Scott Murray's channel, totally not for profit. There is a video with it where the band is fooling around and a head shot of Ozzy singing in a few different sections of the video. I posted a comment there saying that no matter what he has done said or looked like, that will always be the Ozzy I see. He is being goofy and smiling so big, rolling his eyes while singing.Paulette said:
Siegmund- Ozzy said in an interview with Conan Obrien, I think, that his doctors tell him they don't understand why he is still alive.Paulette said:
Archtop- thank you. Do you have any ideas about phrasing when we just talk? Again, sorry for ignorance. And legato could be a partial description of Ozzy's phrasing?
