Usually a host is courteous and polite, and tries to get everyone engaged. Essentially making everyone feel "at home".
Meanwhile this guy just manages to re-open posts from "dem glory days" and heaven forbid someone disagrees with him on a Beatles topic. Or hardware. Out comes the "I was there" or "did you even meet [3rd rate celebrity name drop], well I did in an elevator once".
Sounds like his early retirement will tell the tale here. The forum will go on as it's not really "The Host" at the helm, it's the people engaged there. I wonder when that changed over -- ten years back perhaps?

Never seen a post of his that wasn't impying he was cock-sure of everything he was saying. It's 100% certainty all the time. Has he ever replied to another poster and shown his thanks for a piece of information he didn't know about before?
1. Has heard the original master mix at 30 ips (used for the original 45 cut only). It sounds great. Don't ask, the "B" side mix was destroyed long ago, sorry.
2. I had NO IDEA that this was a comped solo.
I thought he just did the solo live. It's disappointing to me that it's little bits and pieces. I guess I'm just too innocent about this stuff but it's disappointing to me. I mean, I can play the f***ing solo myself. It's NOT hard. But I guess the original creation was.
Still, if they only had a four-track machine maybe the album would have been better. Maybe not...

Only time I saw clear appreciation from him was either during donation time, or when people sent him "stuff" for free.
I'm sure there's a few exceptions but, generally speaking, the term "Daddy" really does apply to him as that's exactly how he acts.

Proof that STeVE is not a real musician but just a poser. If he knew anything about writing a guitar solo he’d know that sometimes it’s easier to record yourself improvising 4 or 5 different solos and then Frankenstein the best bits later to make one awesome take. The solo wouldn’t have been written otherwise so saying “it’s NOT hard” to play is irrelevant. It’s not that Lindsey buckingham or whoever couldn’t play it without screwing up, it’s that it’s probably how he literally wrote the solo.
