DyersEve726:
"My history of music is long and its purpose has always been personal therapy and to serve as an expression of myself. I grew up middle class with lots of music in the family and played tons of local shows with my band. I moved on to solo work in a make shift recording studio where I released two albums and like 100 unreleased tracks. My gear has always been middle of the road and a $200 set of headphones were absolutely the most incredible things to me, lol.
I now work a job that takes up too much of my time and I never play guitar anymore, but it pays me pretty decent and I've been able to explore some of, what I consider at least, high end offerings for music playback. I now spend an inordinate amount of my sparse free time downloading and listening to music, as well as researching future upgrades. I've seen some (including me) call it a sickness, but is it? To me, it's a relief to the sickness."
M*****l isn't going to go for anything as gay as therapy:
"NO, the music is my savior..."

Any compulsion that bankrupts you has to be a healthy and therapeutic influence.

Middle-class means he's worthy of sympathy since he's one of the "right" kind of people.
