Sounds like they're whipping up a sequel to The Day of the Locust. Neat!

It's like Steev's not even trying anymore with these anecdotes. Oh, he just waved him over. Also, I like the subtle ego touch of "no one had a clue who he was." How special Steev is to recognize the great man, whom the philistine patrons of Jerry's Deli had forgotten, and to know that fact because he reads all minds. Or, maybe plenty of people knew exactly who he was and just decided to let him go about his breakfast, rather than take a seat and start rapping with a total stranger.

It didn’t take long to get STeVe’s Vin Scully story. Meanwhile if you search on his family friendly forum you will see various versions of this story, mostly involving Hollywood Squares. Other versions include Steve having his license, his friend John having his, a friend working as an usher, being at NBC in the 1970s visiting on field trips for college or high school depending on his age in the story. Boozin' Susan I wanted to share more of the findings but don’t have time now. I searched “Color City” and “Steve Hoffman” to get those results. I am sure if you mix up the words there are more conflicting stories. It’s also of note how these “antidotes” are at least 10 years old, if not older.

Who the hell is Bronto Crushrock on the far left? Henny Youngman. The guy with the mustache is Dick Smothers.

"I got to..." "just so happened...", "Walked right up to/met...", "got to hang out with...", "free food..." I've had broken/scratched records and CDs that had more variety than STeVe.
